A band worthy of an Ale.

It may sound bizarre, but in 2019 this is something that become a reality for us. A festival released our very own ale to 10,000 people…

We were booked to headline one of the two main stages at the World’s Biggest and Best Tribute band festival in Leicestershire; Glastonbudget. The organisers decided to celebrate the event by asking a local brewery to create an IPA called ‘Navigation, Tropical Pale Ale’, because they considered us ‘a band worthy of an ale’. It was such an honour. The shield on the pumps and the beer mats were printed with a special design featuring the classic Pink Floyd rainbow spectrum.

Of course, we all had to sample this fine ale, and we agreed that it was indeed a worthy ale, refreshing and top-class; just like us !

Playing in front of 30,000 people is an amazing experience for anyone. The Darkside of Pink Floyd were asked to perform on the main stage at Catton Hall & Park in Derbyshire.

Home of the famous Bloodstock Festival

Catton Hall has hosted the Bloodstock open-air Heavy Metal Music Festival since 2005. The other very famous event held at Catton is the Derbyshire Sausage & Cider Festival that features many of the UK’s top tribute bands, including The Darkside of Pink Floyd who performed there in 2022. The Darkside of Pink Floyd have also performed at the legendary Glastonbudget Festival, billed as the World’s biggest & best Tribute Festival. We have played at Glastonbudget seven times and headlined each of the main stages twice. Our band were also found playing in front of 30,000 people when we headlined on the huge main stage at Glastonbudget in 2017.

Poole Harbour Music Festival

Another large festival site where we were invited to play recently. This was another Headline performance closing out the festival. We were lucky to have plenty of sunshine during the day and this resulted in another large audience who appreciated the Pink Floyd songs with enthusiasm.
